Wow - too many responses already and the answers provided in those replies! I think I agree with those who said Refine Edge. This was a great way to play with Photoshop to see if it could be resolved with the tricks of the program. Looks like a handwriting font style distorted otherwise that first work could be remove. Refine Edge though is a thing you do from a command in PS.

My congrats to those first three who got it right.

This contest was NOT run very well....at about 1pm i counted all of the responses up within your guide lines of no "R" and also one word.....excluding all answers left you with only one possibility "saturate". That was the answer i put down......my answer was entered only 10 minutes after i got your email....Posterize at that time had three guesses and therefore i excluded it. I really wish you had just shut down the contest the moment you had a winner instead of wasting my time and the countless others that spent the next 5 or so hours guessing for nothing?...just my two cents....cheers jack

That's an understatement, Jack - the competition was over by 12.21 on March 10th with about 240 comments down, and was kept open for nearly two more days and 160 comments... and no I'm not about to count them accurately, I've already spent too much time looking at the blog page for what was supposed to be a bit of fun - fun that's just turned sour!

Guys chill.

I realized there were 3 correct guesses 2 days ago and I needed to start preparing to close the contest. I didn't feel it was necessary to send another mass email just telling everyone to "Stop" with their votes. The last correct answer was almost immediately after the "2 Winners" email was sent out. After this the comments kept rolling in so fast and went out of control.

I almost didn't even run this contest because of how busy I am with CAP2. Guys you need to give me a break at least. I feel there was more then enough time to place your guess's and I didn't make it TOO easy so you wouldn't even get a chance didn't I?
